14 September saw exhibitors and guest speakers come together at the vGI Holdings group HQ for sustainable mobility event ‘Going Greener’.
Following its ‘Going Green’ event in 2022, vGI Holdings held ‘Going Greener’ on 14 September 2023. Celebrating sustainable mobility and the drive to net zero, the group which includes vGroup International, Middleton Manufacturing, Comm-Ply and VMC Haulage hosted exhibitors and expert speakers from some of the largest names in the industry.
The free-to-attend B2B event with complimentary food and drinks throughout the day welcomed invited guests that included the largest lease companies, dealer groups and fleet management companies to see product and service showcases from motor manufacturers and accessory suppliers. Invaluable insight to net zero initiatives were offered courtesy of guest speakers from Silverstone Circuits, Arnold Clark, BP Pulse, MICHELIN Connected Fleet, Intercounty Truck & Van, EAV and Brunel University.
The day saw EAV holding test rides on their award-winning eCargo bike and Legend Fleet’s demo van complete with axe throwing. Group business Comm-Ply undertook live installations of van lining and graphics to vehicles from Ford, Maxus and Mercedes alongside the almighty eActros and eCanter on display courtesy of Intercounty Truck & Van.
Newcomer to the UK market BYD had not one but two Atto 3s on display and there was great support from local dealers displaying EVs from BMW, Kia, Lexus, Porsche, Toyota and Volkswagen with the generation defining ID Buzz.
Visitor and exhibitor feedback has been great with vGI Holdings looking forward to hosting more such events.
